Join Our Fast-Growing Defense Manufacturing Company! We are a rapidly expanding defense manufacturing firm specializing in 5-axis CNC machining, with strong growth projections for 2026 and 2027. We are seeking talented, energetic, and passionate 5-Axis CNC Programmers/Machinists to join our dynamic team.

Axis CNC Programmer/Machinist Location:
Northridge, CA Shift:
Days, Monday - Friday (Saturdays and OT as needed)
Qualifications:
Strong team player with a leadership mindset Experience managing multiple 5-axis CNC programs, with proficiency in writing and modifying programs to optimize processes Extensive success troubleshooting manufacturing operations involving all machining processes Ability to program, set up, and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis vertical/horizontal CNC machines to produce complex parts from start to finish Skilled in reading measuring devices and blueprints Possession of personal tools, including measuring instruments
Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings and determine suitable manufacturing procedures Produce parts precisely according to specifications, minimizing material waste Collaborate with the Machine Shop and Production Managers to prioritize and optimize shop schedules Assist in developing tooling, jigs, or fixtures to support production activities Recommend procedures to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality Operate all machinery safely, adhering to company safety standards and PPE protocols Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on shop equipment Report major maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Required Education & Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical college or vocational school Proven experience with 5-axis CNC machining and programming
Skills & Proficiencies:
Excellent communication skills in English—reading, writing, and speaking Ability to interpret technical documents, safety instructions, and procedure manuals Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities Proficient in technical math including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
