Job Description
Overview Skyfront builds the world's longest endurance multicopter drones for commercial and defense applications. Our products fly for hours and hundreds of miles, to detect and explore without risking human life, for a fraction of the cost of traditional aircraft. We are seeking a Senior CNC Programmer on a contract basis, to help setup our manufacturing division, train our engineers and technicians, and setup routines for our commonly fabricated parts. The role would also include rapid prototyping. As a contract/part-time role, we are offering a premium hourly rate for expert guidance and workmanship . This role may lead to full-time employment at a lower but competitive hourly rate, depending on performance and workload. We are flexible on schedule. This would be a great role for someone who already has another full- or part-time job. Responsibilities Develop CNC programs for a 5-axis CNC machine using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, TopSolid, and Fusion 360. Simulate CNC routines using software Operate 5-axis CNC machine, manual lathe, and common tools Maintain equipment Train technicians and engineers Inform engineers of manufacturing considerations to improve speed and efficiency. Write detailed documentation for fabricating common parts, including setup procedures, tooling configurations, and CNC programs. Requirements 5+ Years of experience programming and operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines (especially 5-axis). Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD Common tool proficiency Benefits Competitive pay Flexible schedule We'd love to meet you!
