We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer I to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and optimize CNC programs for
HAAS CNC
lathes and machining centers using
GIBBSCAM
software. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality to improve machining processes, increase efficiency, and ensure parts consistently meet engineering and quality standards. Responsibilities Program, modify, and optimize CNC programs using
GIBBSCAM
software. Develop efficient machining processes for new and existing components. Set up and troubleshoot
HAAS CNC
lathes and vertical machining centers. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and GD&T. Optimize cycle times while maintaining part quality and maximizing tool life. Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve machining and production issues. Perform first article inspections and verify parts meet dimensional and quality requirements. Troubleshoot machining problems and implement effective corrective actions. Maintain accurate CNC program documentation. Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance. Skills Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment. Proficiency with
GIBBSCAM
programming software. Experience programming and setting up
HAAS CNC
lathes and vertical machining centers (mills). Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. Experience selecting cutting tools and determining appropriate feeds, speeds, and machining strategies. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
