Job Description:
We are seeking a talented 3 and or 5 axis CNC Mill Programmer/Machinist with expertise in Mastercam to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines both 3 and 5 axis to produce precision parts and instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining techniques, a solid understanding of CNC programming, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Responsibilities:
Develop CNC programs using Mastercam software based on engineering drawings and specifications. Set up and operate vertical CNC milling machines to perform machining operations such as drilling, milling, surfacing, and tapping. Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to complete job tasks efficiently and according to specifications. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and adherence to production standards. Conduct first-article and in-process inspections using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Troubleshoot programming and machining problems to maintain production schedules and minimize downtime. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred. Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist with proficiency in Mastercam software. Strong understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and materials. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols. Minimum of 5 years of experience in 3 or 5 axis programming & machining Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience with CAD/CAM software (other than Mastercam) is a plus.
