3-Axis CNC Programmer/Machinist Longmont, CO — 100% onsite | Full-time, direct hire About the role A growing AS9100D and ISO 9001-certified aerospace and defense machine shop is adding an advanced 3-axis CNC Programmer/Machinist to support new machining capacity. This is a hands-on, cradle-to-grave role: you'll program, set up, run, and inspect complex, tight-tolerance parts yourself. It is not a desk-only programming job or an operator role where someone else builds your programs and setups. What you'll do Program complex 3-axis parts in Mastercam Review prints and models to develop machining strategy, select tooling, and set feeds and speeds Prepare stock, complete setups and prove-outs, and establish tool and work offsets Run and monitor your own parts, and troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and quality issues Inspect completed parts before release to quality Improve toolpaths, cycle times, and process reliability What you need Advanced 3-axis Mastercam programming experience Ability to independently program, set up, run, and inspect parts Strong grasp of tooling, toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and machining strategy Ability to read complex blueprints and apply GD&T Experience with tight-tolerance components and standard precision measuring equipment Willingness to work Fridays and overtime as production requires Nice to have Aerospace, defense, or space manufacturing; high-mix/low-volume job shop background; Haas 3-axis mills; stainless, titanium, Inconel, or other difficult materials. Schedule Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts). Friday work and roughly 10+ hours of overtime may be required based on production needs. Compensation $30.00-$43.00 per hour. The posted range reflects the range the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position; actual pay depends on demonstrated experience and ability.
