In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, blueprint interpretation, and tooling will ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment with AS9100 certification. Duties/Qualifications Program CNC lathe machines using G-code and M-code, incorporating CAD/CAM software such as MasterCam to develop precise machining instructions. Set up CNC lathe machines, including tool selection, fixture installation, and calibration to ensure optimal performance. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for precise manufacturing. Operate CNC lathes and manual machining tools to produce components with tight tolerances, utilizing measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality control. Perform machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain high efficiency and prevent downtime. Conduct quality inspections during and after machining processes to verify dimensions and surface finishes meet specifications. Collaborate with the quality team to improve machining processes, reduce waste, and implement good manufacturing practices. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining operations. Commitment to safety standards in a manufacturing environment; experience with lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
