We are seeking an experienced Setup Programmer Machinist to lead our Lathe/Turning Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, setting up, and operating multi-axis lathes, with specific expertise in 3-axis live tooling and MasterCam Lathe programming.

Key Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathes, including bar-fed live tool lathes with part catchers. Utilize MasterCam Lathe for programming complex parts. Interpret technical drawings and ensure precision in machining processes. Perform quality checks to meet tight tolerances and specifications. Inspections are done in conjunction with and under approval of the QC team. Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment. We have a production schedule from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and an office schedule from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Quality and Shipping and Receiving follow the office schedule.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience programming, setting up, and operating multi-axis lathes. Minimum 5 years of MasterCam Lathe programming experience. Proficiency with 3-axis live tooling and bar-fed lathe operations. Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC control systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
