Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Offline Mastercam Programmer to serve as the critical engine of our CAD/CAM operations. In this role, your sole focus will be pre-programming parts off 3D models and customer prints before material hits the shop floor , eliminating programming bottlenecks and maximizing machine spindle uptime. You will not be split between setup duties and office work—your primary responsibility is driving shop throughput through proven, efficient, collision-free G-code, tooling selection, setup documentation, and optimized toolpaths. Offline Mastercam Programming:

Program complex 3-axis, 4-axis, and multi-axis (5-axis / Mill-Turn) CNC machines using customer 3D

STEP/IGES

models and detailed prints. Regularly and use CloudNC's AI CAMAssist to automate 80+% of the programming for 3-axis, 3+1, and 3+2 axis parts to significantly speed up programming.

Pre-Production Workflow Optimization:

Generate complete programs, tooling callouts, cut-sheet documentation, and setup sheets well in advance of raw material arrival.

Toolpath Optimization & High-Speed Machining:

Leverage Mastercam Dynamic Motion and high-speed machining (HSM) toolpaths to minimize cycle times while optimizing tool life and surface finish.

Fixture Design & CAD Modeling:

Design workholding, custom soft jaws, modular fixtures, and tombstone layouts using CAD (Mastercam / SolidWorks) integrated into the CAM environment.

Verification & Collision Avoidance:

Perform thorough program simulations, verifications, and machine module checks to guarantee zero shop-floor crashes.

AS9100D & ITAR

Compliance:

Adhere strictly to controlled technical data (ITAR) handling procedures, strict revision control, and quality inspection protocols (First Article / AS9102 requirements).

Machinist Collaboration:

Partner directly with setup machinists and shop leads to refine programs based on real-time cutting feedback, chip load, and chatter reduction.

Required Qualifications Experience:

7+ years of dedicated, hands-on Mastercam programming in a precision production/prototype CNC environment.

Technical Mastery:

Deep expertise in Mastercam (Milling, Multi-Axis, Lathe/Mill-Turn). Expert knowledge of feeds/speeds across challenging aerospace materials (Titanium, Inconel, 17-4 PH, 7075-T6, Stainless, Plastics).

Print Reading & GD&T:

Master-level ability to read complex engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).

G-Code Proficiency:

Ability to hand-edit or fine-tune Fanuc controls/posts when necessary.

ITAR Requirement:

Due to ITAR compliance requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) . Preferred Qualifications Proven track record working within

quality systems. Experience with SolidWorks for fixture design and modeling. Experience with post-processor customization or Third-Party Simulation software (e.g., MasterCam). Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Zero Bottleneck Rate:

Percentage of job folders fully programmed and verified before material reaches the shop.

First-Run Success:

Reduction in shop-floor program edits and zero program-induced machine collisions.

Cycle Time Efficiency:

Target cycle time reductions using optimized high-speed toolpaths.
