Job Description

Toolmaker/CNC Programmer Job description: Overview We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join a dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining and fabrication, with expertise in various tooling processes and extensive CNC programming experience. This role is essential for producing high-quality fixtures, dies and components that meet precise specifications. The Tool Maker will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. Duties Create 3 & 4 axis machine programs, using Mastercam, for production parts. Create work instructions for new operations Design fabricate and repair precision tools, dies, and fixtures for both CNC and assembly areas. Operate CNC lathes and CNC milling machines to create intricate components. Setup HAAS and Fryer VMC's and oversee the running of their daily operation. Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accuracy in designs. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for assembly and fabrication tasks. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot design issues and improve tooling processes. Oversee routine machine maintenance and keep an organized and clean workspace. Adhere to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in tooling, machining, or a related manufacturing field. Proficiency in Mastercam and SolidWorks. Familiarity with stamping press operations. Experience machining stainless steel required. Excellent math skills for precise calculations and measurements. Experience using precision measuring instruments effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and adaptively and as part of a team with a "get the job done" mentality . Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent and completion of vocational training required. Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment visa or other sponsorship.
