Experienced Machinist to set-up and operate CNC milling machines.
Location:
Jupiter, FL Schedule:
Full-Time | First Shift | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM US Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist who can independently take a part from concept to completion using blueprints, CAD models, and manufacturing documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a variety of manual and CNC machine tools to produce complex components, tooling, fixtures, and prototypes for the aerospace and power generation industries. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesQualificationsWhat We Offer Independently manufacture precision components from blueprint, CAD model, or manufacturing documentation through final inspection. Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and other machining equipment. Perform manual machining operations as required to support prototype and production needs. Utilize Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software to create CNC programs and manufacturing strategies. Extract dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements from 3D CAD models and engineering drawings. Develop tooling, fixtures, and machining methods to efficiently produce high-quality components. Perform first-piece inspections and verify completed work using precision measuring instruments. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Minimum 5 years of experience as a machinist in a precision manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machine tools. Strong proficiency with CAD/CAM software, preferably Mastercam. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation. Experience working from 3D CAD models and extracting critical manufacturing information. Skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and optical comparators. Experience supporting prototype, tooling, single-piece, and low-volume production work. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and process development abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage priorities effectively. Technical certifications, apprenticeship training, or related education are highly desirable. Personal tools are preferred but not required. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
