The role blends programming 5-axis CNC equipment with day-to-day operation, quality checks, and mentoring newer operators - a real path toward a technical leadership role. The team emphasizes training and mentorship from experienced staff, and contributions are rewarded through profit-sharing. What you'll be doing Program 5-axis CNC equipment and CNC routers for a variety of part construction and geometry Select cutting tools, tool paths, cutting speeds and feed rates for each job Assist in training CNC operators and work with them to validate NC programs Plan machining by studying work orders, production paperwork, materials, specifications, dimensions and tolerances Set zero and reference points, tool registers and offsets, and prove out part programs using math, geometry and trigonometry Verify part accuracy through the shop's inspection process and in-process measurement with tape measures and micrometers Troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust and reprogram controls, sharpen and replace worn tools, and complete preventive maintenance Document and communicate actions, irregularities and needs to maintain continuity between shifts What we're looking forRequired CAD drawing experience CNC router experience Strong math skills (basic math, geometry, trigonometry) to calculate program requirements Experience with Microsoft Office Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Follows all safety procedures High level of honesty and integrity Must be 18 years or older Must pass a background investigation and drug test as part of the selection process Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred High School Diploma or GED Pay, benefits and schedule $30/hour, plus a bonus tied to profit-sharing.
