Position Overview:
The CNC Programmer will program Aerospace components and fixturing using FeatureCam, CAD models, and drawings. The Programmer is responsible for creation and revision of CNC programs for various multi-axis, horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, routers, and other equipment. The Programmer supports current production and prototype projects while maintaining quality and safety standards. The CNC Programmer will work with operations, quality and procurement to develop the most efficient manufacturing process possible.Essential Functions:
Program 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers and waterjets) with Mastercam. Analyze work orders, drawings, specifications, and design data to determine order of operations, fixture design, tool selections, machine speeds and feed rates Assemble quotations including required materials, tooling, fixtures, set-up time, and run time of new parts and assemblies based on provided engineering data Create detailed setup sheets in specified format for a machine's operator to guide setup Work with operators to revise programs to eliminate errors and re-test programs to check that problems have been solved Work with operators to revise programs to optimize efficiency Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Follow established processes and quality and safety standards Must be able to read and interpret prints, DPD, and GD&T Participate in LEAN manufacturing activities Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, processes and tool information Read and Write G-Code Generate work orders as required to meet schedule Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Technical Skills- pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and shares that expertise with others Customer Service

Education, Certifications and Experience:
High school diploma or GED and 5+ years related experience and /or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience 5-7 years of experience programming 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers and waterjets) with FeatureCam is required Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Proficient with FeatureCam, Outlook, ERP Manufacturing software, shop floor manager, and time and attendance payroll systemsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
