Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC lathes with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality production of complex components. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling setup, and machine operation will be vital in maintaining our commitment to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment in a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to manufacturing excellence. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathe machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to produce precise parts Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure accurate machining Perform routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify part dimensions Maintain machine tools including tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues related to machining processes or tooling Follow safety protocols including proper handling of materials, use of hand tools, forklift operation when necessary, and adherence to factory safety standards Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC lathes with proficiency in MAZAK controls or similar systems Strong background in CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC lathes, and other machining equipment Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T specifications accurately Experience with Gibbs Cam or other CAD software is a plus for designing or modifying parts Knowledge of materials handling, tooling setup, and basic math skills for precise measurements Factory experience within a manufacturing facility is preferred; experience with packaging and assembly lines is advantageous Join us in a role where your technical skills drive innovation! $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
