Job Summary:

As a CNC Programmer at AWT World Trade Inc, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, particularly working with both 2D and 3D parts, will be essential in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our production operations. Knowledge of

HAAS CNC

centers, experience with CNC lathes, and proficiency in Mastercam will are a must for this role.

Responsibilities:

Develop CNC programs using industry-standard software (e.g., Mastercam) to accurately interpret engineering drawings and transform them into machine instructions. Set up and operate

HAAS CNC

centers, as well as CNC lathes, ensuring proper tool selection, fixture setup, and machine calibration. Program and operate CNC machines to fabricate both 2D and 3D parts with precision and efficiency. Collaborate with design engineers to analyze Solidworks drawings and other specifications, determining optimal machining strategies and selecting appropriate cutting tools. Monitor and adjust machine parameters during the machining process to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications. Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Perform thorough inspections of finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and make necessary adjustments as required. Troubleshoot programming or machining issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers and production personnel, to optimize workflows and achieve production goals.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CNC programming for both 2D and 3D parts. Strong knowledge and experience with

HAAS CNC

center. Hands-on experience with CNC lathes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments. Familiarity with various cutting tools and their applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot programming and machining issues. Attention to detail and a commitment to working with precision. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands. Preferred Qualifications (a plus): Experience working with other CNC machine brands. Knowledge of additional programming languages, such as G-code or CAM software.
