Job Description

CNC Machinist and Programmer Company Description:
RSS Grinders & Automation Inc. specializes in manufacturing and retrofitting centerless grinders with CNC technologies. Team members collaborate with customers in precision manufacturing and automated production environments. Applicants can expect to work with industrial equipment in a hands-on setting. RSS values practical problem-solving, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement in all projects.
Job Type:
Full-time In-Person Day Shift:
Typical Hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. • Overtime hours as needed on weekdays and also weekends to complete urgent jobs.
Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site CNC Machinist role based in Lombard, IL. The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and running a CNC Haas Mill. Experience on programming knowledge on basic macros preferred. Day-to-day tasks Running the CNC Mill, setting up machine for various parts and adjusting programs as needed. Must have knowledge of reading drawings / blueprints, measuring using micrometers and calipers, and operating simple hand tools.
Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawing. Experience operating and programming CNC Mills. Haas Control experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset. Ability to stand, bend, and lift moderate weights during machine operation and set-up tasks and work safely in a shop environment. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC Machining. Preferred if previous experience in CNC Machining, G & M code programming, understanding of how to make a program from scratch.
