This position requires a skilled CNC machinist with strong setup and programming capabilities and hands-on experience with horizontal CNC machining centers . This is an experienced-level position for someone capable of independently setting up, programming, troubleshooting, and operating CNC milling equipment.

Experience:
5+ years required Higher compensation is available and will be considered based on the candidate's CNC programming, setup, and horizontal machining experience. Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate horizontal CNC machining centers Independently take jobs from blueprint through completed part Create, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, workholding, and offsets Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications Determine proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies Establish and adjust tool and work offsets Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Make program and machine adjustments to maintain required tolerances Use precision measuring equipment to verify completed parts Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues Identify opportunities to improve cycle times and machining processes Maintain accurate setup, tooling, program, and production documentation Follow all established safety and quality procedures Qualifications 5+ years of CNC milling, setup, and programming experience Horizontal CNC machining experience is required Strong CNC setup and programming capabilities Ability to independently set up and operate horizontal machining centers Strong blueprint-reading skills Understanding of tooling, fixtures, workholding, speeds, feeds, and offsets Experience maintaining tight tolerances and producing precision-machined components Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Strong machining troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and safety Compensation Starting pay is $35.00 per hour .
