Job Description
You Know There's More to CNC Work Than Pressing a Button You notice when a toolpath could be better. You can look at a finished part and tell when something is not quite right. When a machining problem comes up, your first instinct is to figure out what caused it—not wait for someone else to solve it. If that sounds like you, you may be exactly who we need. MasterSpas is looking for a CNC Operator/Programmer who wants to take real ownership of the machining process. In this position, you will set up and operate CNC equipment, create and improve toolpaths, troubleshoot issues, and manufacture the molds, fixtures, patterns, and components that help keep our production teams moving. This is not a repetitive "load it and leave it" CNC job. Your mechanical ability, programming knowledge, and judgment will matter here. And because you will work a four-day schedule, you can spend your three-day weekends doing whatever makes you happy—working on projects, spending time with family, or simply enjoying a Friday when everyone else is still at work. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC routers, mills, and other CNC equipment Create, modify, and optimize CNC toolpaths using CAM software Verify programs before machining to protect quality, accuracy, and efficiency Load materials, fixtures, and tooling for production runs Monitor machining operations and make adjustments when needed Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment Compare completed parts with engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment problems Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and tool changes Help develop and modify fixtures used throughout manufacturing Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, the Mold Shop, Production, Maintenance, and Quality Identify better ways to program, machine, and produce quality components In short: you will help turn engineering concepts into accurate, usable parts that make manufacturing possible.
