Specific responsibilities include the following:

Position Specific Responsibilities Work Location:

In Person Set up CNC machines according to job specifications and blueprints. Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces. Load programs into CNC machines and verify correct operation. Perform test runs and first-article inspections to ensure accuracy. Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and quality standards. Plan machining by studying job packets, routings and notes, blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes and orientations, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Maintain specifications by observing machine cycles; taking measurements; troubleshooting, adjusting and reprogramming; monitoring and replacing tools; adhering to quality procedures. Able to read, program, troubleshoot CNC G-code programs for 4-axis lathe and 4-axis mills. Required Specific Responsibilities 1-2 Years' experience as a CNC Machinist an asset Mechanical aptitude Ability to measure pieces to verify that the size meets the specifications. Understand the production environment and how to prioritize the necessary tasks. Ability to work independently. When required, be part of a team which includes machinists, fellow operators and management to co-ordinate efforts to ensure that machines are used efficiently, and work priorities are well managed. Ability to learn new specifications and procedures through on-the-job training and experience. Physical Demands Periodic heavy lifting up to 50lbs Standing for long periods of time.
