This CNC Machinist opportunity combines production machining with fine craftsmanship, producing custom parts that move seamlessly from the machine to hand-chasing, polishing, and plating. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Programmer position include: 3+ years of hands-on CNC milling and/or turning experience in a precision machining environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T callouts. Working knowledge of G-code/M-code, including experience making CNC program, offset, or tooling adjustments to hold tolerance. Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and bore gauges. Experience machining cast brass and bronze components (experience with non-ferrous castings is preferred). Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to machine parts to finished dimensional specifications. Machine threads, bores, and sealing surfaces to specifications required for watertight valve and drain assemblies. Perform in-process and final inspection, maintain inspection records, and flag casting defects or machining issues before parts move downstream.
