CNC Programmer - 1st Shift Livonia, MI | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM The Adecco Permanent Recruitment Team has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in Livonia, MI that is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team on 1st shift. This role is focused on high-speed machining and precision tooling for the plastic injection molding industry , with an emphasis on complex multi-axis programming, tight tolerances, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines using Mastercam Program high-speed machining of hardened steels and electrodes used in precision mold applications Support programming for horizontal mills used in soft machining of steel and plastics Create and maintain machining instructions, setup sheets, and technical documentation Modify drawings and support engineering changes as needed Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions Help develop and maintain programming and quality standards Work closely with machinists, engineering, and shop floor teams to support production and continuous improvement Qualifications Previous experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM programming software Strong 3D, multi-axis CNC programming experience Prior machine shop experience required Strong blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T Knowledge of machining principles, speeds and feeds, and dimensional tolerancing Experience working with tight tolerances and metric measurements Strong problem-solving and technical judgment skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Familiarity with
