Precision Jig & Fixture in Rockford, MI, is expanding our CNC department. We are actively looking for 1 or 2 talented 5-Axis CNC Programmers / Operators to help us strength our day shift team. We are looking for a highly motivated 5-axis CNC programmer and CNC operator that are willing to hold themselves to a high standard of work and proficiency. CNC operators are encouraged to apply if you are willing to learn programming as well.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shift Schedule:

1st shift, M-F 6am-430pm, Program/Operate the 3/5-axis CNC machine to perform cutting Quality checking machined parts, calculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers Perform repairs where needed Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines Qualifications and Skills CNC programming/operating experience in complex, multiaxial, setups and cutting using a variety of materials and weldments for use on custom parts, bases, and fixtures and Plastic Mold Injections, Experience with CAM Software, WorkNC is preferred Experience with FANUC and Heidenhain controls is preferred Effective communication and conflict resolution skills Must possess strong work values; Dependability, honesty, self-confidence and a positive attitude, open-minded, willing to learn new techniques A minimum of 2-3 years of 3/5-axis experience required Communicate well with management regarding all employee and supply needs Pay negotiable based on experience.
