Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator to join our precision machine shop. You will set up and program Okuma and Mazak CNC Lathes to create, modify, or repair precision parts. During operation, you must monitor the machinery and conduct regular quality checks to ensure they are running properly and that the parts are being produced according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to the manufacturing of our precision details, so all candidates must have attention to detail and be extremely focused on their work. CNC Lathe Operator Duties and Responsibilities Check machine is in good working order before set up Set up and fixturing of various materials Safe material lifting and handling Familiar with Okuma and Mazak Lathes or similar preferred but not required Perform all necessary machine maintenance Follow safety standards at all times Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately Keep all work areas clean and organized CNC Lathe Operator Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or similar role Able to read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions Familiar with Okuma and Mazak Machines favored Must have own basic tools Competitive wage based on experience and benefit package that includes health/life insurance, vacation pay, paid holiday's, 401-K and profit sharing. First shift only in clean climate-controlled environment with overtime available. This is not a high-volume production machining position, programming and machine set-up knowledge required, some on the job training from other highly experienced machinists available.
