The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming and a strong understanding of various machining processes. This role involves creating and optimizing programs for CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiency in production. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with engineers and machinists to produce high-quality components that meet stringent specifications. This will be for a 2nd shift role. Duties Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling and lathe operations using Fusion or Visi. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to create accurate machining programs. Utilize GD&T principles to ensure compliance with design specifications and tolerances. Operate Haas CNC milling machines and lathes, performing setup, tooling changes, and adjustments as necessary. Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste in the machining process. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to programming or machining processes. Maintain documentation of all programming changes and updates for quality control purposes. Stay updated on advancements in CNC technology and machining techniques. Requirements Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong background in machining processes. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software including Fusion, Visi and other relevant tools. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Excellent math skills with a solid understanding of geometry related to machining operations. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
