We're looking to add a CNC Programmer to our team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and build a career with us. Data Metalcraft is a manufacturer of formed sheet metal and welded cabinets used in fiber communications, power grids, and industrial products. Our products utilize a broad range of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.

Duties:

• Develop and write CNC programs for Punching and Laser operations based on engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize cutting operations and improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs to ensure proper functionality
• Maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling, and setup instructions
• Be readily available to assist operators in troubleshooting and minimizing equipment downtime
• Participate and support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate relevant information and concerns positively and effectively to others in a timely manner
• Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other tools.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of Punching and Laser processes.
• Strong knowledge of geometry and math principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with Solidworks and CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines, preferably Amada VPSS 4ie
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot CNC programs.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with engineers and operators.
• An Associates Degree in Engineering Technology / CNC Machine Programming or 3 or more years hands-on experience programming CNC machines is preferred
