PURPOSE To transform designer-generated 3D models and detailed shop drawings into fabrication-ready documentation that supports engineering review and manufacturing. This role serves as the technical bridge between design, engineering, and fabrication by creating detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, structural documentation, and CNC production files. The Fabrication Detailer & CNC Programmer ensures projects are accurately translated from design intent into buildable solutions while optimizing efficiency, manufacturability, and production qualityPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabrication Detailing & Engineering Support Translate designer-created 3D models and creative concepts into detailed fabrication drawings and production-ready documentation. Develop fabrication, assembly, and installation drawing packages that clearly communicate materials, construction methods, and fabrication requirements. Create exploded assemblies, part breakdowns, and material callouts for production and installation teams. Prepare structural drawing packages for review and approval by internal and external engineering partners when required. Evaluate designs for manufacturability, structural integrity, and production efficiency. CNC Programming & Production Documentation Generate CNC-ready part files and machining documentation for routing and milling operations. Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC toolpaths in coordination with production personnel. Generate part labeling, nesting layouts, and production workflows that support shop efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with CNC operators and fabrication teams to troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve machining processes. Maintain and revise fabrication files, CNC programs, templates, and documentation throughout a project's lifecycle. Maintain CAD standards, fabrication libraries, details, and reusable documentation systems.TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding of fabrication methods, machining processes, blueprint reading, and production documentation. Experience with CNC routing, milling, cabinetry, woodworking, and large-format fabrication. Understanding of out-of-home advertising structures, experiential environments, exhibits, and custom fabrication. Ability to interpret creative concepts and convert them into practical fabrication solutions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Command of the English language, both verbal and written Advanced proficiency with Rhino, Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This is an office position; however, the person will need to be able to freely move from the office to the warehouse
- This person must have the manual dexterity to use a keyboard & mouse as a major part of their role.
