Approximately 30% - Domestic & International Job Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in CNC programming, precision machining, and manufacturing process development. The ideal candidate will have experience programming and supporting multi-axis CNC equipment , developing efficient machining processes, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and working with engineering and production teams to manufacture complex, tight-tolerance components. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong combination of CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience . Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning operations. Program and support 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC equipment . Develop CNC programs using CAM software and G-code/M-code . Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T , and technical specifications. Develop manufacturing processes and machining strategies for new and existing components. Determine appropriate tooling, fixtures, workholding, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters . Perform CNC program simulations, prove-outs, first-piece runs, and process troubleshooting. Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling lists, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Troubleshoot machine, programming, tooling, dimensional, and manufacturing process issues . Optimize CNC programs and manufacturing processes to improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and productivity. Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition from prototype through production. Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Production, and other cross-functional teams. Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective actions for manufacturing issues. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Support CNC machine setup, tooling, workholding, probing, and process development as required. Maintain CNC program and manufacturing documentation revision control. Travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally to support manufacturing projects and operations. Required Qualifications 3+ years of CNC programming and/or manufacturing engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Strong hands-on experience with CNC milling and/or turning . Experience programming and supporting multi-axis CNC equipment . Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, or equivalent . Strong knowledge of G-code/M-code and CNC machine controls . Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and technical specifications . Strong knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters. Experience manufacturing complex, tight-tolerance components . Strong CNC troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally . Preferred Qualifications Degree, associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline . Experience with 5-axis CNC programming and machining . Experience with CNC mills, lathes, mill-turn machines, and/or live-tooling equipment. Experience with CMMs, probing systems, and precision measurement equipment . Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies . Experience supporting NPI, process development, process validation, or production scale-up . Experience working in a high-precision or regulated manufacturing environment . Experience supporting Johnson & Johnson (J&J) projects or operations is preferred .
Pay:
$50.00 - $100.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
