Assistant Teacher- Child Care Center/UPK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversees the day-to-day management of the Childcare Center, maintaining a safe, secure environment and quality program in accordance with YWCA mission and local, state and federal codes.

Immediate Supervisor:

Childcare Center Head Teach and/or

Kids World Director Responsibilities:

1. Assist in developing and carrying out age-appropriate curricula and activities. 2. Maintain health and safety practices to prevent the spread of infectious disease and injuries and assures the well-being of children and staff. 3. Maintain compliance of all local, state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to the Childcare Center. 4. Maintain ongoing clear communication with the parents of the program participants. 5. Maintain ongoing clear communication with YWCA staff. 6. Assure confidentiality of all records or reports pertaining to the children. 7. Maintain a safe environment. 8. Maintain a cooperative child-staff environment. 9. Complete required activities and paperwork in a timely manner (i.e. fire drills, attendance sheets). 10. Assure children can develop their physical and mental health and development. 11. Monitor and report to Childcare /UPK Head Teacher and/or Kids World Director any supplies that are needed for the children's use. 12. Adheres to all applicable YWCA policies and procedures. 13. Report problems and concerns to the Childcare Head Teacher or Kids World Director. 14. Perform other tasks as requested by the supervising person.

Pay:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
