Job Duties Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and CNC mills. Perform programming using G-code, including program edits Change tooling, fixtures, and tools, and perform touch-offs. Conduct quality control inspections using micrometers, calipers, and specialty gages. Program CAM software, specifically EdgeCAM, and perform job setups. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in machining preferred. Experience Requirements Previous experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or similar equipment). Mazak conversational programming is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and inspection instructions. Strong understanding of machining principles, tools, feeds, speeds, and materials. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges). Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, lift, and move materials during the shift (up to 50 lbs). Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a production team. Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
