Programmer / Operator Lewark Metal Spinning is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
HAAS CNC
Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating
HAAS CNC
machining centers to produce precision components that meet quality, safety, and production requirements. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate
HAAS CNC
mills and/or lathes using G-code and CAM software. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and work instructions. Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding equipment. Perform machine setups, first-article inspections, and production runs. Monitor machining operations and make program or tooling adjustments to maintain part quality and optimize cycle times. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges. Maintain dimensional accuracy and ensure all parts meet customer specifications. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues to minimize downtime. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all company safety procedures. Accurately document production data, inspections, and machine performance. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred. 5+ years of experience programming and operating
HAAS CNC
machining centers. Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machining principles. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar. Proficient with precision measuring equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Perform repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting. Work safely around moving machinery and equipment.
