Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead CNC Swiss Setup/Programmer (Tsugami Specialist) within the Erie-Meadville Area. The individual will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC Swiss lathes, particularly Tsugami machines. Duties include developing and optimizing efficient machining processes, troubleshooting equipment, ensuring precision part production, maintaining equipment performance, and collaborating with team members to meet production and quality goals. Qualifications Expertise in CNC Swiss lathe setup, programming, and operation, with specific experience on Tsugami machines Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation Knowledge of machining principles, tool selection, cycle time optimization, and material properties Strong troubleshooting skills to address mechanical and programming issues Ability to utilize CAD/CAM software for creating and modifying programs Experience with precision machining and high-tolerance manufacturing Commitment to maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety protocols Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with team members and provide guidance Previous experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing is highly preferred Technical diploma, associate degree in machining technology, or equivalent work experience Flexibility to work the 2nd shift schedule
Pay:
$30.00 - $42.00 per hour
