Compensation:
$95,000•$115,000 annually OR $35.00•$40.00 per hour (based on experience)

Full-Time | Direct Hire | Permanent Local to West Chester, PA — no relocation considered About the Role We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Technician (MET)•Swiss/CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in West Chester, PA. This is a hands-on manufacturing role that combines CNC programming, machining, setup, process development, and production support. This is not strictly a programming position or an engineering-only position. The ideal candidate will own the complete manufacturing process—from engineering drawings or CAD models through CNC programming, machine setup, prove-out, first article inspection, and production release. The successful candidate will have strong Swiss machining knowledge, CAD/CAM programming experience, and the ability to independently troubleshoot and optimize machining processes. Key Responsibilities Create CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for Swiss CNC machines. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models to develop machining strategies. Convert customer drawings and 3D models into production-ready CNC programs. Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, fixtures, and machining processes. Optimize cycle times while maintaining product quality and efficiency. Perform complete machine setups independently. Run and validate first articles to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality requirements. Prove out new CNC programs and make necessary program adjustments. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues. Support production machinists with technical guidance and process improvements. Release validated jobs into full production. Implement engineering changes and continuous process improvements. Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and manufacturing best practices. Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience programming Swiss CNC machines . Strong experience with CAD/CAM software such as: Mazatrol PartMaker Mastercam Esprit GibbsCAM or similar platforms Ability to perform complete machine setups independently. Experience conducting first article inspections and production validation. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills. Proven troubleshooting experience with machining processes and CNC equipment. Experience optimizing tooling, feeds, speeds, and cycle times. Ability to support manufacturing from concept through production release. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing Engineering Technician (MET) background. Experience with precision machining and close-tolerance components. Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience. Experience supporting high-volume production environments. Knowledge of quality inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
Pay:
$35.00•$40.00 per hour
