Job Description
Independence Tooling is actively seeking a CNC Lead to join our team! Responsibilities Serve as Lead in the CNC Department Mentor, Lead and Supervise other machinists Produce machined parts by setting up, and operating a mill and/or computer numerical control (CNC) machine Plan machining by studying work orders and blueprints Set up mills by tramming/indicating vices and/or work material Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs Develop instructions for CNC Technicians Review 3D CAD design Determine steps for programming including where materials should be cut Convert instructions into a computer-automated manufacturing (CAM) program Determine job order and perform associated calculations Compose programs and revise existing ones for increased efficiency Qualifications Proven leadership experience in a CNC environment 2+ years of experience programming in WorkNC Experience with CNC machining and programming Experience running a 5-axis machine Familiarity with Fanuc or Fadal controllers Ability to prioritize tasks & delegate them when appropriate Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, automotive, or defense is a plus Experience running a 3+2 axis machine Experience running a Haas, Doosan, or Hermle Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Vacation and Holiday pay Employer matching 401K Hybrid work schedule after 90 days for eligible positions Tuition Reimbursement Flexible Spending Programs (FSAs) Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insurance Employee Referral Program Additional Voluntary Benefit Programs Off-site company events & Employee Luncheons Who are we?
