- $65 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Rapid prototyping CNC programming CNC Programming Certificate Interpersonal skills Fanuc Machining fixtures Cutting Machining tool setup GD&T Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Certification CAM software Mastercam Holding fixtures proficiency Prototype creation CNC toolpath generation Prototypes Interpersonal communication Full Job Description Contract CNC Programmer•5-Axis Prototyping | Chandler, AZ | 1099, Paid Every 2 Weeks We're a tight-knit prototype machine shop in Chandler looking for multiple experienced CNC programmers to help us increase throughput on prototype and low-volume work.
- to mid-volume production runs Create detailed, clear setup sheets that a competent machinist can run parts from Communicate clearly when handing off programs to machinists (Big plus) Set up and run first articles on your own programs Must-haves Strong Mastercam programming skills, 5+ years of 3-axis and 5-axis experience required.
Prototyping background:
you know how to process a part from print, to fixturing strategy, to speeds and feeds, to cutting chips, efficiently Deep understanding of machining processes: order of operations, tolerancing, tooling selection, and fixturing strategy Ability to produce quality, detailed setup sheets others can run your programs from Local to the Phoenix metro area, this is in-person work at our Chandler shop If you have your own Mastercam license and seat, remote work may be an option. Due to customer requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (U.S. persons) Nice-to-haves (A++ candidates) Can set up, prove out, and run first article parts on your own programs on FANUC-based controls/machines, or assist machinists during first article proveout and revisions if required. Comfortable taking ownership of a project, communicating clearly, meeting deadlines, and being a team player. Our success is your success, and vise versa. Experience with tight-tolerance, low-volume aerospace/defense-style prototype work. GD&T experience, comfortable programming metrology routines in Zone3 or open to learning it and adding to our throughput. Pay & structure 1099 independent contractor Hourly (roughly $40- 65/hr depending on experience and scope) Paid every 2 weeks Flexible, project-based workload — evenings/weekends work fine if you're currently employed elsewhere.
Pay:
$40.00- $65.
