Job Description
Turning machine
Set-up, Operator, CNC Job Description:
This person must be able to set-up and operate a variety of sizes and types of turret lathes and turning lathes. Also, programming, edit, modify, and maintain programming for CNC machines. This position you must be able to:- Use blueprints, process sheets, specification and instruction sheets, cutting tools, tool holders, micrometers, verniers, calipers, dial indicators, go/no-go gauges, snap gauges, special tools and measuring instruments.
- Receive and position material
- Obtain all necessary tools, equipment, measuring instruments, prints specification and instruction sheets.
- Set-up machine and run 1st piece and inspect the piece to ensure quality of production run This position also performs of other related duties, as directed by supervision, to insure efficient machine operation and the production and assembly of quality parts Maintains machine and work area in neat, clean orderly condition Complies with all company rules and regulations In performing assigned duties, manually moves up to and including 60lbs frequently: utilizes material handling equipment for larger loads.
