The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs to ensure efficient and accurate production of precision components. This role requires strong knowledge of G-code, CAD/CAM software, and machining processes. Key Responsibilities Develop and edit CNC programs for Okuma lathes and 4-axis mills using Mastercam • Create and update detailed blueprints and technical drawings based on engineering requirements with Solid Works. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Optimize tool paths for efficiency, accuracy, and minimal waste. Set up and prove out programs on machines, ensuring first-piece quality. Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve programming or machining issues. Maintain program documentation and revision control. Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. Perform continuous improvement on machining processes to reduce cycle time and improve productivity.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years CNC programming experience, specifically with Okuma controls and 4-axis milling.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in G-code and CAM software Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.Other:
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team environment. Preferred Skills Experience with Okuma OSP controls. Knowledge of advanced machining techniques (high-speed machining, multi-axis programming). Familiarity with CAD software for model review and modification.Pay:
