Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Turret Setup Operator to join our metal fabrication team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Amada CNC Turret Punch Press equipment used to manufacture precision sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC turret operations, be comfortable reading production programs, setting up tooling, and ensuring quality throughout the fabrication process.
Job Duties:
Set up and operate Amada CNC Turret Punch Press machines.

Retrieve, load, and verify CNC programs before production.

Set up and install the correct tooling based on program requirements.

Verify tool placement and machine setup prior to production runs.

Load and stage raw materials for production.

Monitor machine operation to ensure tooling and material remain properly aligned throughout the run.

Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and overall quality.

Troubleshoot setup, tooling, and machine issues to minimize downtime.

Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Work closely with engineering and production teams to support efficient manufacturing.
Qualifications:
Previous experience setting up and operating CNC Turret Punch Press machines required.

Experience with Amada turret equipment is strongly preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.

Experience selecting, installing, and aligning turret tooling.

Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.

Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.

Commitment to producing high-quality parts while meeting production goals.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
