Shift:

1st Shift (Monday -Friday, 6:00 am -2:30 pm) What we are looking for: Dover Food Retail is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / CNC Machinist with hands-on experience in CNC milling and vertical CNC lathe (turning) operations. This is a precision machining role focused on programming, setup, and operation of milling machines and vertical turning centers. This is not a fabrication-only programming position.

Key Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate CNC vertical milling machines Program, set up, and operate CNC vertical lathes (turning centers) Write, edit, and optimize G-code programs Generate toolpaths using 3D CAM software Use MDI programming for machine adjustments Select and set up all required tooling independently Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Calculate dimensions, speeds, feeds, and tolerances Machine metal components to tight tolerances Modify programs and troubleshoot machining issues Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications

Required Qualifications:

2-4+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer and/or CNC Machinist Direct experience with CNC milling and CNC vertical lathe (turning) Experience with 3D CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience modifying and optimizing CNC programs Strong shop math skills Familiarity with SolidWorks Experience programming using

MDI Preferred Qualifications:

Technical school, vocational certification, or equivalent machining experience Multi-axis machining experience Experience holding tight tolerances (+/-.001") Experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of punching, shearing, laser, and brake equipment

Detail-oriented and highly accurate Strong problem-solving skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Able to stand for extended periods and work night shifts or weekends when required
