Overview Surface Preparation:

Masking:

Cover and protect parts, windows, and trim that should not be painted using masking tape and paper.

Color Matching and Mixing:

Match exact paint shades using manufacturer specifications and mix paint formulas.

Paint Application:

Spray primer, base coats, and clear coats evenly using professional spray guns.

Inspection and Finishing:

Inspect painted areas for runs, sags, or flaws, and perform buffing and polishing for a smooth finish. Sand blasting and powder coating as needed.

Skills and Experience Experience:

High school diploma plus 1 to 4 years of hands-on auto body or painting experience, or completion of a technical trade school program.

Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, color perception, and knowledge of safety protocols (including respirator use).
