Job Description

GMH Communities, Headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, is a dynamic real estate company specializing in the acquisition, development, and management of exceptional living communities throughout the United States. Our student living sector provides our residents with leading-edge amenities, community spaces, and apartments to maximize their college experience.The Leasing Consultant reports to the Leasing Manager and serves as the primary contact for residents and prospective residents looking to renew or engage in a new lease. The Leasing Consultants primary responsibilities include all elements related to leasing, including but not limited to: communication to residents and prospective residents, handling walk in traffic, touring, generating lease documents, signing and closing leases, meeting or exceeding budgeted occupancy. This position will have a heavy emphasis on outside marketing networking with local businesses and prospective residents, hosting and setting up events, guerilla marketing. In addition, the Leasing Consultant will assist the Leasing Manager in coordinating resident activities, leasing activities, assist with move-in, and maintain excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. The Leasing Consultant is also responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.

Responsibilities:

Maintain positive resident relations through outstanding serviceParticipate in the daily operations of the propertyConduct phone, online, and in person sales with prospective residents and renewalsProcess leases, complete lease files & ensure all corresponding paperwork/data is accurateAssist with leasing events and activities this position will have a heavy emphasis on outside marketingParticipate in resident retention events and activitiesShop competitors propertiesAssist with online Social Media representation, presence, and marketing outreachThorough knowledge of office applications and company policies

Characteristics and Qualifications:

At least 6 months experience in the apartment, leasing, or hospitality industry preferredYardi, RentCafe, Entrata, or similar software-- PreferredOutgoing, gregarious personality & an enthusiasm for marketing, leasing, and salesActive knowledge of online Social Media and social presence avenuesProficiency in converting phone calls to appointments and appointments to leasesStrong organizational and administrative abilities as well as, excellent communication and people skillsA passion to serve residents, parents, vendors, and colleaguesThis position offers the following competitive benefits:
