This position will be focused on automotive style paint / body work and apparatus installation. In addition to standard automotive / metal paint prep and finish, MTECH builds wildland brush truck bodies using our PolyTough(TM) construction
  • the prep and paint process are identical to that in the automotive industry.
We build and paint all of our products on site and have both paint and powder coat booths. This is a full time, long term position with benefits, bonus, retirement plans and more. While not required, experience with automotive style prep/primer/paint/clear/color sanding is preferred as well as basic understanding of standard hand and power tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, cordless hand drills, stationary sanding and cutting equipment; ability to work productively with other employees and a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience is not required. The ideal candidate will be capable of all stages body work including sanding and filling, primer and sanding, paint plus clear and color sanding.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education and Experience:
High School or equivalent. Automotive training of any kind a plus. Skills Must be able to read basic engineering drawings and bill of materials. Must be able to read basic measuring tools including tape measure, ruler, and calipers. Detail oriented, able to multitask and prioritize. Work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced working environment under tight deadlines. Respond to shifting priorities quickly, effectively, and calmly, be a problem solver and be a fast learner. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a production team of other coordinators. Physical Demands Ability to move about the facility as needed during the day to fulfill job responsibilities. In addition to a pay band of $22
