In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert bodywork, painting, and finishing techniques. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and structural alignment to restore vehicle integrity. Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, grinding, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear finishes using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision. Conduct buffing, polishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish that meets customer expectations. Use hand tools and power tools such as grinders and sanders to shape, smooth, and refine vehicle surfaces during repair processes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by properly handling surface preparation masking and disposing of waste materials safely. Collaborate with estimators and customers to assess damage, explain repair procedures, and ensure satisfaction throughout the process. Experience Proven experience in auto body repair or auto painting within a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong knowledge of automotive surface preparation, masking techniques, sanding methods, and spray painting applications. Hands-on experience with welding techniques such as MIG or TIG welding for structural repairs. Familiarity with automotive buffing, polishing, detailing, and auto restoration processes. Ability to operate various tools including grinders, sanders, spray guns, and other power tools efficiently. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto glass replacement is highly desirable. Prior experience with auto estimating software or customer service in an automotive setting is a plus.
