Full Job Description Job Summary:

Shift:
Monday - Friday, 3pm-11pm . his role supports daily Paint Shop operations across all production lines by preparing components for the painting process, including sanding, masking, cleaning, and inspecting parts to specification. The Paint Prep Technician helps ensure all work is performed in accordance with company quality standards and applicable FAA requirement.
Duties:
Mask and prep parts for paint as required Sand items to specification. Tape items prior to the paint process Wash, wipe and sand parts when necessary
Qualifications:
Ability to perform detailed, hands‑on work with small components. Experience with surface preparation techniques (sanding, masking, cleaning). Ability to follow precise work instructions, drawings, or specs. Basic knowledge of paint prep materials and tools (degreasers, scuff pads, masking tape, solvents). Familiarity with quality inspections for surface defects (scratches, dust, blemishes). Ability to work in a safe and professional manner in accordance with all FAA regulatory recommendations.
Preferred Skills:
Paint experience preferred, especially with small parts or detailed components (not residential or commercial painting)
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and Paint Shop environment. Regular exposure to paint, solvents, dust, and cleaning chemicals; PPE must be worn. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Climate-controlled facility, with varying noise levels. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
