Suncoast Industries of Florida, a structural Steel Fabricator, is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Painter to join our production team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Surface Preparation:

Clean, sand, scrape or sandblast metal and concrete surfaces to remove rust, old paint, oils, and contaminants

Coating Application:

Apply primers, epoxies, urethanes and sealants using specialized tools like airless spray guns, rollers and brushes

Quality Control:

Measure paint thickness with gauges, inspect coverage and monitor drying or curing processes

Equipment Maintenance:

Clean, maintain and troubleshoot paint sprayers, compressors, and pumps

Safety Compliance:

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), handle hazardous chemical waste properly and follow safety protocols in confined spaces or at heights

Qualifications:

• Previous industrial or commercial painting experience preferred
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing and industrial coating applications
• Experience with airless or conventional spray equipment preferred
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform physical work for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials as required

Requirements:

• Experience with epoxy, polyurethane, enamel or other industrial coatings
• Experience with blast preparation or abrasive blasting
• Knowledge of wet-film and dry-film thickness requirements
• Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Must be fluent in English
• Drug Screen will be required
• Hours Monday
• Thursday 5:00am
• 3:30pm O/T as needed

Pay:

$18.00
