Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painting Subcontractor to join our dynamic construction team. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall patching, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray systems), and construction spray painting methods Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete surface preparation and coating applications efficiently Interpret technical drawings and color schemes to accurately match project specifications and client preferences Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection, proper ladder use, and following safety protocol guidelines at all times Conduct quality inspections through visual color comparison and surface assessments to ensure consistent color matching and finish standards Complete all project documentation accurately, including logs of work performed, safety checks, and material usage reports Requirements Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential, commercial, or industrial settings Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects is a plus Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and the use of safety equipment such as respirators and fall protection gear Ability to interpret technical drawings, surface preparation instructions, and color specifications effectively Skilled in the use of hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (airless sprayers, drills), and spray equipment for various coating applications Experience with surface preparation techniques including drywall repair, stucco finishing, caulking, and fixture installation is preferred Strong understanding of coating types such as primer, paint, stain, epoxy coatings for different surfaces including drywall, stucco, metal structures or fixtures Excellent attention to detail with an eye for color accuracy through visual comparison techniques Basic math skills for measurement calculations related to paint quantities and surface areas Ability to work safely at heights using ladders or scaffolding while maintaining stability and control during application tasks Construction site experience with remodeling or renovation projects is highly desirable Join us as a Painting Subcontractor if you're passionate about transforming spaces with precision craftsmanship!
