Painter Automotive - Industrial

Job Description

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, blasting, masking, and applying fillers as needed. Mix and apply paints, primers, and coatings using spray guns and other application Apply industrial coatings to metal parts and fully assembled heavy equipment. Inspect finished surfaces to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and quality standards. Maintain paint equipment, booths, and tools in safe working condition. Follow all safety procedures related to hazardous materials and ventilation systems. Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and coating specifications. Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary. Track materials usage and maintain accurate production records. Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required). 2+ years of experience in industrial or automotive painting (heavy equipment experience preferred). Knowledge of surface preparation, coating applications, and finishing techniques. Ability to use spray painting equipment and related tools. Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards and hazardous material handling. Position Summary

The Industrial / Automotive Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting heavy equipment components and assembled units, including grapple trucks, grapple loaders, and knuckle boom loaders. This role ensures high-quality finishes that meet company standards for durability, corrosion resistance, and appearance while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
