We are looking for a dependable, hard-working Sandblaster / Paint Prep employee to join our manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this position will be sandblasting equipment and parts to prepare them for paint. This is a hands-on, physically active job that requires being on your feet and moving throughout the day. The right person will also help with paint preparation and material handling as needed. For someone who works hard, learns quickly, and takes pride in their work, there is an opportunity to learn industrial painting and eventually move into a Painter position. What You'll Do Sandblast equipment, parts, and fabricated components Prepare surfaces for paint Clean, mask, and perform basic paint-prep work Move equipment and materials using a forklift and telehandler Load, unload, and position parts safely Keep the blasting and work areas clean and organized Inspect work to make sure surfaces are properly prepared Assist painters and other employees as needed Follow shop safety procedures and properly use PPE What We're Looking For Experience operating a forklift and telehandler Comfortable working around large equipment and heavy fabricated parts Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and stay active throughout the workday Willing to work in a dusty, noisy manufacturing environment while wearing appropriate PPE Dependable and consistently shows up ready to work Self-motivated and able to stay productive without constant supervision Someone who looks for what needs to be done instead of waiting to be told every step Takes pride in doing the job correctly and keeping work moving Willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibility Opportunity to Grow This position can be more than just sandblasting. We are willing to train the right person in additional paint-prep work and industrial painting. Someone who proves dependable, works hard, and develops the necessary skills could eventually move into a Painter position with greater responsibility.
