Please independently verify any critical information before relying on it. Description Staff On Site is seeking an individual to fill a part-time Grit Blaster position. There is a possibility but no guarantee of the position becoming full-time. Remove rust, paint, corrosion, and other contaminants from metals, concrete, wood, and other materials . Operate grit blasters, including blasting chambers, cyclonic separators, dust collectors, and nozzles, using the correct abrasive media for the task . Ensure surfaces meet required cleanliness and texture standards for subsequent processes like painting or welding . Follow strict safety protocols to protect against high ‑ velocity abrasives, dust exposure, and equipment hazard s. Adhere to dust control and waste disposal regulations to minimize environmental impa ct. Keep blasting equipment and work areas clean and in good working order . Ability to lift up to 50 pounds . Ability to work in Hot conditions . wearing PPE at most times during the day. It will differ based on the job being performed.
