This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade and build a career in the truck equipment industry. You do not need to be an experienced painter to be successful in this role. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn. What You'll Do Sand and prepare truck bodies, equipment, and parts for painting Clean and prep surfaces to ensure a quality paint finish Tape and mask bodies, parts, and areas that should not receive paint Assist the painter with daily shop and paint preparation tasks Learn proper techniques for surface preparation, masking, and paint application Learn to paint small parts, touch-ups, and minor repairs Properly care for and clean tools and painting equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all shop safety procedures and instructions Perform other general shop duties as needed What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship Eager to learn and willing to take direction Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work Previous auto body, painting, fabrication, or related experience is helpful, but not required Previous sanding, masking, or painting experience is a plus Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Good attention to detail Eager to learn and take direction well Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform a physical, hands-on job Valid driver's license Why This Position? Experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are more important. As you develop your skills, you'll have the opportunity to learn additional painting responsibilities, including small parts, touch-ups, and minor repairs. Our goal is to develop the right person into a skilled Paint Technician who can take on more responsibility and continue to grow with our team.
