Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to a variety of industrial components and structures, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation, including sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Operate various spray guns such as conventional spray guns, and airless paint sprayers, to apply coatings efficiently and evenly. Interpret production documents and technical specifications to determine appropriate materials, colors, and application methods for each project. Use hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and precision measuring instruments to assist in surface preparation and finishing processes. Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques while adhering strictly to safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection gear. Conduct quality inspections through visual color comparison and coating thickness measurements to ensure compliance with quality standards in production. Maintain a clean work environment by following lean manufacturing principles and properly disposing of waste materials. Requirements Proven experience in industrial painting or related fields such as auto body repair or construction painting surface preparation. Knowledge of coating types including powder coating, auto painting, and construction painting techniques. Familiarity with the use of coating and painting spray guns, airless paint spraying equipment, and hand tools. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely. Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for measuring, mixing materials, and calculating coverage rates. Experience with safety protocol adherence including PPE use such as respirators, respirator fit testing, and respiratory protection measures. Ability to operate forklifts or other materials handling equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
