Job Summary:

HQ Aero is currently recruiting for

PAINTERS

in

LEXINGTON, KY.
Responsibilities:
As a Painter, you will be required to:

Paint and apply finishing coats to in accordance with blueprints and/or customer specifications.

Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance with safety procedures.

Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjusting colors and fixing defects.

Must have a thorough knowledge of the correct procedures to follow and precautions to take when performing their work in order to prevent damage to equipment and/or material and injury to self and/or others.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager as directed.

Working on Helicopters and small airplanes.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

1 year experience in automobile or aerospace painting required.

Metal prep, prime and base paint aircraft via chemical application on aircraft skin.

Mask aircraft and components for mechanical stripping of aluminum, and protect all surfaces where stripping is not required.

Assist in fabrication and the repair of composite structures experience required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

Job Type:

Full-time, Contract

Candidates who are submitted for this position must be prepared to interview in person.

Essential Job Functions

Self-starter with a can-do approach.

Able to Acid etch, Alodine and apply epoxy primers.

Able to demonstrate knowledge of how to use basic measuring equipment and instruments to continuity check various assemblies/details parts including basic personal computing literacy.

Able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisory staff.

Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain and manipulate data.
